Trinidadian fans of Keyshia Cole get a cancelled show, after snapping up tickets…

Holders of tickets for two advertised concerts which failed to take place over the weekend are now wondering if their money has gone down the drain. Both concert promoters have all but disappeared and attempts to contact them on their respective mobile phones have failed.

The concerts in question are the Keyshia Cole show, promoted by VIP Entertainment, which was scheduled for May 31 at the Trinidad Country Club in Maraval, and one featuring Jamaican dancehall acts Mavado and Lady Saw at MOBS2, Chaguaramas, on the same night. Neither came off.

A source at the Country Club told the Express that although VIP Entertainment did request the venue for a show featuring Cole, there was never any confirmation of a booking. Ads for the concert, however, misleadingly cited the Country Club as the venue. Country Club management was said to be upset.

There has been no word from VIP Entertainment on whether the Cole concert will take place on another date, or how ticket holders may receive refunds.

Plies is currently gearing up for the release of his sophomore album titled Definition Of Real.

The Florida rapper revealed to Billboard that the album will feature appearances from Trey Songz, Ne-Yo , The Dream , Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday, among others.

Last night, I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Keyshia live once again. The show was amazing and Keysh looked beautiful. She ran through a lengthy set list and was on stage for about an hour. The highlight of the night was when she made two very exciting announcements. As we already know, Keyshia has been in talks to tour with Lil Wayne, and last night she officially confirmed it to a sold out crowd in Buffalo NY! Keyshia also stated that she had just wrapped up a brand new song with Wayne in NYC. In other news, “Heaven Sent” is currently sitting at #3 on the Billboard R&B charts after ONLY 8 weeks. This is a promising chart position and definitely holds the potential to be Keyshia’s third number one single. T-Pain led the nominees for the eighth annual BET Awards, an event celebrating the leading lights in African-American music, film and sport, organizers said on Thursday.

His five nods were all in his capacity as a featured artist on recordings by R&B singer Chris Brown, rookie rapper Flo Rida or hip-hop star Kanye West.

West and R&B singer Keyshia Cole scored three nominations each. Winners will be announced during a ceremony scheduled for June 24 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. It will be televised live by cable channel BET.

MTV is less than a week away from revealing the 2008 “Hottest MCs in the Game,” which airs Friday night on MTV at 10 p.m. ET. They reached out to some of our favorite artist, who are fans themselves, and asked them the simple question: Who should be on this year’s list? Keyshia speaks on 2007’s #1 MC, Lil Wayne:

“Lil Wayne is hot with his metaphors,” Keyshia Cole, who was also on the set, said about last year’s reigning #1 Hottest MC. “His delivery is hot. All he has to do is stay at it. Kanye could be a Hottest MC this year. He puts a lot into his craft performance-wise and in the studio. He delivers. So does Lil Wayne.”
