• A Different Me raked in 126,500 units in its second week on the chart, making the total so far 448,500 copies. The album slide to #7 on the Billboard’s ‘Top 200′ and #3 on Billboard’s ‘Top R&B Albums Chart’.

 R n’ B diva Keyshia Cole is set to start the new year off on a very good foot. The 27 year old singer will grace the first issue of Jet Magazine in 2009. Hitting newsstands on Monday, January 5th, Jet sits down with Keyshia to talk about her new album, her family, and the future of her hit BET reality series, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is.
When it comes to family, R&B singer Keyshia Cole says her love is unconditional. That is exactly what gives her the solid foundation for the highly successful reality show, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is on BET. “Watching my sister and mom grow makes me feel proud of them,” she tells Jet magazine about her family’s progress.
Although Cole and the family keep it real and let it all hang out in the show’s third season, she hopes that her viewers will get something out of it as well. “I decided to do the reality show because there are young girls out there who are or were in my predicament, coming up the same way I had come up. I had them in mind when showcasing my family’s business.”

Its official, Keyshia Cole’s third LP A Different Me debuted at #2 on the Billboard chart with 324K sold in it’s first week. She was only 6K short of the #1 position held by Taylor Swift with 330K sold.

Singer Monica’s speaks about her collaboration with Keyshia Cole in a new interview:
Carla: “How do you feel that Obama will influence your sons, and with your T.V. show, will Obama inspire change and the belief that you can be anything?”
Monica: “I definitely think that because they have seen something that they never saw before, that’s all apart of believing that change is possible. When you see things that you don’t normally see, you don’t normally see girls that come from where I come from do what I do. You have me, you have, Keyshia [Cole], you have Mary, but still very few, it’s a small circle, so the more they see it, the more they can believe it. And Obama is a big part of that, I mean sometimes I feel sorry for him because he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders but he also has a lot of support.”
Carla: “Speaking of Keyshia Cole, how was it working with her on the song, ‘Trust’ ?”
Monica: “That was easy, anytime you work with your friends, it’s a different level. I think our relationship outside of music, made it pretty much, just like another day. I mean, we recorded the song, in like five or six hours and then took the kids to Universal studios. We were done with the song, long before it hit the airwaves because we’re family.”
